BEHIND THE NAME

Theodore Roosevelt is mainly remembered as the twenty-sixth President of the United States. Still, this dynamic, multi-talented, charismatic man became a hero to millions of Americans for many other reasons. By the time he rose to the presidency at age 42—still the youngest person ever to hold the office—Roosevelt already had served as a New York State Assemblyman, a deputy sheriff in the Dakota Territory, Police Commissioner of New York City, U.S. Civil Service Commissioner, Assistant Secretary of the Navy, Colonel of the Rough Riders, Governor of New York, and Vice President.

Citizenship in a Republic is the speech given by President Roosevelt at the Sorbonne in Paris, France, on April 23, 1910.

He prides himself on living in the trenches and this podcast “In The Arena” features interviews with fellow business owners, CEO’s and colleagues who are blazing their own trail in their respective fields as well as thoughtful analysis on everything from business to current events.




MAVRICK ALEXANDER

Mavrick is a recent 2020 graduate from the University of Missouri School of Journalism. He started out his career as a morning anchor and sports broadcaster for KOMU 8 News through his college years. In the wake of the pandemic, Mavrick reevaluated his focus on his career. This led to the reboot of ‘In The Arena’ Podcast in the Fall of 2021. He is the current producer of ‘In The Arena’ and enjoys people being able to come onto this podcast and share their life experiences.
